This workshop to create glass coasters is aimed at absolute beginners and intermediate glass artists as an introduction to glass fusing. Design and make a set of four coasters to your own design, to match your living room or as a gift for a friend. The workshop will include: cutting skills, technical know-how, working with colour glass, designing and glass assembly.
Expert tuition will be provided by Jo Whitehead of Glassprimitif and Bullseye glass used.
£80pp inc all materials 10am to 3pm
All materials and kiln firing included.
A charge of £3.50 will be required to post your glass coasters back to you after firing.
Health and Safety:
The workshop is a safe environment and every care will be taken to ensure that accidents don’t happen. However, glass is a hazardous material and we do have a good stock of sticking plasters. If you are allergic to plasters please let me know at the start of the class.
There is a dress code for Glass workshops and it is important that you follow these. The requirements are: No short sleeves, bare legs or open toe shoes. All students should wear long sleeves, jeans or trousers and covered shoes.
Latex gloves, goggles and masks will be available if required. You may wish to wear old clothes or bring an apron or overalls to protect your clothing.
There will be free tea and coffee making in the kitchen but no food or drink may be consumed in the workshop.
